One super active spring

We have had the craziest weather this year. Usually, I can get out on my bike about end of March/mid April. With all the rain and snow lasting into JUNE, I have not been able to train like I used to. HOWEVER, I have still been active. Here's is what I've done so far this year.

1. April 23: Legacy Duathlon (pictures posted previously)
2. April 30: Race Against Child Abuse (I was a volunteer)
3.May 7:  Goldilocks Women's only ride. I made it 60 miles! Kaitlyn was a fabulous volunteer. I like having her volunteer while I'm out riding.
4. May 21: Ogden Half Marathon. Ran half of it with Allison and then got ditched!
5. June 4: Little Red Riding Hood. My first century!! I was dying but so happy that I finished it. I am planning at least one more this year.
6. I set a goal to ride 1,000 miles on my bike this year. Right now (July 23) I am sitting at 420. I have some work to do!

That was my spring. I have many things planned for late summer/fall. Stay tuned...oh, and here are some pictures!

My work sponsored the Race Against Child Abuse in April. We had almost 20 people run and about 10 volunteers. Here are a couple of the volunteers (you should recognize a few of them). Yes, it was snowing that day. :)

A few of the brave runners.
A few more runners. They were prepared. :)
Waiting at the cold start of the Ogden Half Marathon. There were some fires set up and they even started some warmups as a group. We just stood around and froze!
Don't we look excited. I'm worried that Allison is not quite awake. Can you see the starting line in the next picture? They asked us to line up by speed so the fast peeps were in the front. Of course, I'm so slow I walked straight to the back. It wasn't too bad.

The beginning of little red. I went with the third group as I didn't want to be with the first, fast group. It was a great ride this year. A bit chilly in the morning but by the time I made it to Kaitlyn's stop (she was volunteering) I stripped off the sweat shirt and had a fabulous ride!
The lunch stop. There are 3,000 ladies that do this ride. It was a bit crazy but so, so, so much fun!!
